Age Discrimination

Age discrimination was outlawed under the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006.

These Regulations are the same as other anti-discrimination laws in that it is unlawful to discriminate on the grounds of age in the fields of employment and vocational training. The individual does not have to be an employee to be able to bring a claim against the company. This means that an unsuccessful job applicant can make a complaint if they feel the reason for failure is in any way linked to a discriminatory reason (either Direct or Indirect).
