Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment is unwanted conduct linked in some way to gender and (not necessarily sexual in nature).   Also, this type of conduct need not be targeted at women as men can also come into the framework when comments are made that could be construed as unlawful harassment.   Examples are such things as a male employee consistently making sexist jokes about women at work which cause someone to be offended or feel demeaned.

Sexual harassment is unwanted verbal, non verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.   It is conduct that can violate a person’s dignity or conduct that can create an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment for that individual.
