Making A Claim to the Employment Tribunal
In most cases, it will be necessary for you to have been continuously employed by your employer for at least one year before you are eligible to make a claim in an employment tribunal. Once you have completed a year’s service, your employer must have a legitimate reason to terminate your employment UNFAIR DISMISSAL.
However, there are some circumstances where you do not require to have accrued a year’s service AUTOMATIC UNFAIR DISMISSAL.
If you have been subjected to discrimination, then again, you will not require any qualifying service to bring a claim in an employment tribunal DISCRIMINATION.
However, whatever your complaint, there are strict time limits to be adhered to. This means that your claim will usually have to be presented to the employment tribunal no later than three months from the date of termination or the last discriminatory act complained of.
