Independent Contractor
An independent contractor has no employment rights and is somebody who is genuinely in business of their own account. That relationship will be characterised by someone who takes a profit and loss risk of their own such as your electrician or plumber who may have you as one of a large number of clients. By hiring them you enter into a commercial rather than employment contract.
